They found love in the Big Brother house back in 2011, and seemed to have succeeded where their fellow reality show romances failed when they tied the knot last summer.
But Louise Cliffe and Jay McKray have now called time on their relationship after just over a year of marriage.
The 27-year-old model is said to be devastated at the end of the couple’s union, after truly believing the former plumber was her ‘happily ever after’.

A source close to the reality star told MailOnline: ‘Louise entered the marriage with the best of intentions, she thought this was her happily ever after. She’s an old romantic that believes in the fairytale.
‘This is a new chapter in her life, she doesn’t regret following her heart and doing her best. She’s single now and positive about the future – she’s returning to her roots pre-Big Brother and picking up where she left off with singing, acting and modelling.
‘With a number of projects lined up. She wishes Jay all the best and future success.’

Jay, 28, confirmed the news via his Twitter page, responding to a fan who asked him whether he was still with Louise: ‘no I am not with her, we don’t get on, end of.’
He later added to another Big Brother fan: ‘Some people just drift apart ;/’
But Louise seemed reflective about the end of her relationship, writing on Twitter on June 30: ‘I can’t believe how much I have changed and grown up as a person, I don’t recognise myself, the last 7 months have been tough but worth it.’
Louise and Jay met on Big Brother 12 at the end of 2011, and continued their romance outside of the famous house.

After seeming to go from strength-to-strength, the couple tied the knot at Durham Registry Office in June 2012.
The pair went so far as to create their own website to house their wedding snaps, and even streamed a live feed of the nuptials for all their fans to see.
Their site read: ‘Louise and Jay wanted to offer a special thank you to their superb fans who have given them such great support since their love blossomed in the public eye live on Big Brother 2011.
‘They decided the best way to do this would be invite all of their fans to the the wedding via a live feed of pictures, showing them up close and personal, along with their friends and family.’
